mind games festival begins Thursday in Plymouth, with conferences, debates, dances and a good measure for GameJam

The

mourn the closing of the GameCity festival this year should go immediately to Plymouth. Tomorrow sees the start of Extended Play, a new festival based in the National Marine Aquarium seeks to inspire developers and students of game design based in the West of England.

like GameCity is a mixture of lectures on various design elements of the game and the celebrations of the general culture of the game. The opening ceremony will take place tomorrow evening with a speech as head of Tiga, Richard Wilson, but the main conference starts tomorrow with interviews to Channel 4 Education Tower Jo, Phil Stuart of the study of brilliant play, Ian Livingstone preloaded, the permanent president of Square Enix and a national treasure of the British gaming industry.

There is also a
GameJam place throughout the event and evenings out of the roundabout, with a number of DJs and electronic acts. Bristol has seen quiet a few interesting games and interactive art events in recent years, but it's great to see another interesting festival that appear in the West. The conference sessions are free (except for the speech), but there are recording tonight!
