Valve apologized about 12000 gamer illegally forbidden to play Modern Warfare 2 on Steam.
President Gabe Newell said in a statement that Valve's anti-cheat software was to blame for the bans, which have now been reversed, and offered those affected two free copies of Left 4 Dead 2 .

Although not necessarily fitting for the pages of Game Politics, everyone enjoys getting something for free, and beginning today Valve is offering a brand new game - along with its course code - with no strings attached. The game is a top down cooperative shooter called Alien Swarm. Valve will also be releasing all the source code for the Steamworks-integrated title as part of a SDK update also to be released today.
The game was originally being developed by Black Cat, but after Valve hired the entire team to work on Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead series, development on the Source Engine based shooter game slowed to a crawl, with Black Cat working on it in its spare time.

I got this for my brother for xmas. Based on the reviews that said it was challenging, but not so frusterating you'd hate it. My brother (an adult)solved it in 15 minutes. Had I known that, I would have gotten him a more difficult one.
Quality big but. It was more than I thought it would be, and good for the show. His whole family wanted to tinker with it, so it's worth the price.
We own a couple dozen (and counting) of these wood brain teaser puzzles and this is one of my favorites; it's not too difficult and not so easy that you don't feel challenged...I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10. Unlike some puzzles, this doesn't take up the better part of an afternoon - it is a quick fix which makes it great to set aside while watching television or in an easy to reach location. Warning - you company won't be able to keep their hands off it it! Admittedly, I also find it really attractive which doesn't hurt but is a non-issue. This has a few additional pieces but not so many that you fear having to encounter a scattered mess. Appropriate for older children and adults but younger children might find it a little frustrating depending upon their tolerance to this type of puzzle. This is a bit more fragile than others simply due to the construction required however, it well made and should last a long time with proper use/care.

The major question I had walking into my demo of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 was: Is it possible to feel an emotional attachment to a character we've already said goodbye to? In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, players will be asked to do just that. Although the game's lead character Starkiller -- or Galen Marek, according to Star Wars novels -- sacrificed himself during the true ending of the previous title, the character returns as the playable character in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 .
During my E3 2010 hands-off preview of the upcoming sequel to the "fastest selling" Star Wars title of all time, executive producer Haden Blackman walked us through the game's opening, which follows a mentally-torn Starkiller as he attempts to escape from his former mentor, Darth Vader.
