If nothing else, the incredible success of the Kickstarter Ouya showed that people were ready for something different. Some thought to another form of console development, free from the reigns of major publishers. Others wanted another console, allowing you to test all games for free. Others loved by their different philosophy Ouya open, allowing them to mimic their old games or simply turn the box into a multimedia center.
But as we learned from units Kickstarter Ouya March, different is not enough. We have come to expect a certain level of quality of game consoles, both in terms of hardware and software. The user interface was not very effective. Buttons stuck inside the controller. The selection of games, although large, was not huge highlight.
Ouya took several months (and a few more weeks) to calculate their hobby, and now the Kickstarter phenomenon is finally available for anyone with that $ 99. I spent the last week and a half to play with, and the good news is that for the most part, the console keeps its promise.

The next month, the Royal Ontario Museum opens its doors to aspiring game developers for Canadians ROM Game Jam, an event in collaboration with Gamercamp and the University of Toronto.
