The first five titles countdown of the best releases of video games of the year - and there is a risk of electric shock ...

It's that time of year again. As the nights draw in the fall of snowflakes and festive joy of climbing, we have all the senses and experience the next year to reduce our list to play in a hopelessly subjective.

As usual, the top 20 Gamesblog is not an attempt to provide a definitive assessment, emissions of the target year. These are the games that really, honestly appreciated and played to death this year, we often despite often that no one "best" titles still in cellophane waiting next to our consoles. All reviewers submit their own favorites, and cajoled me into a fairly representative list of such.

In this spirit, we present the first five titles. Pour yourself a glass of sherry hard, put in a creaking chair and take a look. What is important, please discuss with us and reprimand in the comments section - which ultimately is the purpose of these trips. Remember, this is not science, it is the opinion. Ho, ho, ho.

20. Origins Rayman (Ubisoft, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

wonderful 2D platform Michel Ancel is like an equivalent set of Cinema Paradiso, a nostalgic song, like a bygone era of entertainment. The fantasy animation leap environments in a stereoscopic display could never reach, while the evil designs, the level of imagination, strange characters and bizarre music to keep your interest until the end. In the co-op four-player mode is an absolute pleasure.

19. Assassins Creed: Revelations (Ubisoft, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

The neglected gem unknown to shootings this year, players grow Bulletstom headlong into a destructive battle between ridiculously rude mercenaries and the global space that has betrayed them. Fighting against the frenzy, green places and some of the most imaginative rude insults ever committed to disc video game to work together with an increase in arms bright. Probably never a game that constantly refers to the player to "sushi dick," "ass hat" and "asshole sunburn" and still manages to be charming and attractive.
