Ico and Shadow of the Colossus director Fumito Ueda has left Sony, according to reports, and completes the development of the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last Guardian as a freelancer. Sources have told Eurogamer that the output of Ueda is one of the reasons for The Last Guardian - announced in 2009 - has not yet been released. In April, Ueda said that the game was delayed until 2012 "to provide the best quality and best content to users."
