06/04/2010 Ubisoft teases Egyptian Assassin 's Creed Project

Publisher posts an image that shows a new take on open-world action franchise associated with efforts to expand their brands beyond the game.

Expect the pyramid there are many different handholds and protruding bits to make the ascent easier.

Account UbiWorkshop monitors only a handful of people, including two comic book artists who are working on separate projects for Ubisoft, 3 people working on the publisher 's cross-media efforts, and Mathieu Ferland, producer of the series of Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft is actively trying to extend its franchise beyond the various games in recent years, the effort leading to the just released feature film adaptation of Prince of Persia and various licensing tie-ins. In addition, Assassin 's Creed, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, HAWX, and the end of the war, all gave rise novelizations.

The company 's cross-media efforts kicked into a higher gear in 2008, when Ubisoft acquired 300 effects house hybrid technology To collaborate with the game on new projects. The first result of this alliance was the Assassin 's Creed: Lineage, episodic series of short films created to promote Assassin' s Creed II (full movie was also shown on Spike TV about the game 's start-up).
